Marut Drones is a trailblazing startup dedicated to solving India’s most pressing social challenges through cutting-edge technology. We’re on a mission to create a better world with comprehensive solutions in reforestation, medical deliveries, sustainable agriculture, and vector-borne disease eradication. Our proud ventures include ZAP, Seedcopter, Agricopter, Hepicopter, Surveillance Drones, and RPTOs.
Our journey began with ZAP, focusing on eradicating mosquito-borne diseases like Malaria and Dengue. Using drones, we’ve successfully eliminated mosquitos at an early stage by applying larvicide to lakes. Over the past three years, we’ve covered over 1,10,000 acres, positively impacting millions for healthier living.
In agriculture, Marut has evolved drone technology to offer agri-intelligence and agri-automation solutions. We enable early disease detection, precision agriculture, and increased farm productivity. Our versatile agriculture drone performs tasks from seeding to spraying, pollination, and more, addressing labor shortages and ensuring productivity.
Marut’s Seedcopter takes afforestation to new heights by identifying thinly forested areas and planting seedballs on a massive scale using drones. We’re leading India’s “HARA BAHARA” campaign, deploying drones, data, and technology to transform the ecosystem by planting 1 billion seedballs by 2030. In 2022 alone, we planted 10 million trees across 7 states, impacting 250 forests and empowering 15,000 women from 200 communities. Marut’s Hepicopter made history with India’s first BVLOS Vaccine Delivery in September 2021, covering an impressive 42 km in Vikarabad, Telangana. With heavy payloads of up to 20 kgs, including blood, vaccines, diagnostic samples, and long-tail medicine, this drone operates in high altitudes and long ranges of up to 45 km for autonomous BVLOS missions. One flight alone delivered 3,000 vaccine doses, with over 1,000 flights across 4 states. This marks the beginning of a transformative era in medical logistics, aimed at ensuring healthcare equity in rural areas.
Marut’s founders were recognized in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2020 for their groundbreaking work in sustainable agriculture, scalable reforestation, and last-mile medical delivery. We received the “Emerging Technology Award for Drones and AI” at the 6th Nasscom Technology Conference and won Facebook’s “India Innovation Accelerator Program – AI for Social Good.” Notably, we showcased our Agri Multi Utility Drone, Agricopter, to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at PM Kisan Sammelan 2022, garnering extensive interest.
